X-Men

The X-Men trilogy is my favorite trilogy, save for Star Wars, so I thought it would be a good topic to start my movie category

X-Men

All over the world, people are gaining strange powers. Some can control ice or metal, others can manipulate the weather and, a few have powers so strong they are a danger to themselves and to others. While the government endlessly debates these events, a dark group of mutants known as the Brotherhood seek to take control into their own hands. Meanwhile, at the school of Charles Xavier a team of mutants fight against the threat the Brotherhood poses against humanity.

X-Men United

The X-Men and the Brotherhood must team up to battle an evil that wishes to destroy a growing threat to all mutant-kind. William Stryker, a war veteran who hates mutants, has found a way to eliminate all mutants forever. This is my favorite movie in the series. This is also the only movie that features Nightcrawler, my favorite X-Man.

X-Men The Last Stand

When scientists develop a “cure” to mutation, all heck breaks loose. Angry protesters run the streets, the Brotherhood plots to wage a war with all of mankind. To make matters worse the Dark Phonex joins the brotherhood making them nearly unstoppable. It is up to the X-Men to bring peace. This movie is great, the only disadvantage is there is no Night crawler.

Adventure Time

Do you remember “Oh Yeah! Cartoons”? It is an old Nick show where they would show to new 10 Minuit cartoons suggested by viewers. This is the show that spawned “Fairly Odd Parents”, “Chalk Zone” and, “My Life as a Teenage Robot”. The reason I am talking about this now is because Nick is picking the show up for a fourth season only the show will be called “Random Cartoons” one of the cartoons it will show is called “Adventure Time” (Now the title makes since)

This cartoon has leaked onto the Internet and there is a petition for Nick to turn it into a full thirty Minuit show.

The cartoon is about Pen the human and Jake the dog. Pen is a 12 year old boy with a weird hat and, Jake is a magical dog. The story is about them saving the princess from the evil Ice King.

I found this cartoon to be entertaining (but also slightly disturbing)

“Star Wars Deleted Magic” ”There is justice in the world”

I have recently watched a web video called “Star Wars Deleted Magic” It was 12 minuets and 18 seconds of pure joy. (yeah, I know I need to get a life.) This video includes Deleted Scenes from episode IV, Including the scene where Luke is at toshi station with his friends trying to convince them that a space battle just took place. It also features unedited sequences of the film. by unedited I mean no SX and the production sounds. (yes you will get to hear Vader speak like Scotty ) there is also an extended cantina scene (sorry, no Han shot first shot), Most of the original opening scene (A LONG TIME AGO THE STAR WARS), Han biting the medal he received at the end of Ep. IV to make sure that it is real gold , and some more. If you are a Star Wars fan you need to watch this video.

X-Men: The Offical Game

Okay, I know this game has gotten some bad reviews but, it is not as bad as everyone says. X-men takes place between the first and second movies. You get to play as Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Ice Man. Since the gameplay is different for all the characters I will break this review into three sections.

Wolverine:

The majority of the levels are Wolverine levels. Simply put, these levels are hack and slash. you fight your way from point A to point B in order to complete the level. Your health heals at an extermely slow rate and if there are no enemies around you can heal yourself faster by pressing the Z button. It is pretty fun but gets really repetitive really fast. You get to fight Lady Deathstrike and Sabertooth, which is good.

Nightcrawler:

Nightcraler is my all time favorite character. Playing as him gives you the ability to, you guessed it, teleport. These are the best levels in the game. I never get tired of teleporting from place to place. You also have the ability to stick to walls for a short period of time. Although fighting is a big part of these levels, it is not the focus of the levels. The main goal usually involves getting to and using an object before time runs out. (Ex. Deactivating a bomb or opening a door.)

Ice Man:

Ice Man missions are the game developers attempt to add flight missions to the game. You use Ice Slide to fly around and freeze stuff. This is probably why the game got such bad reviews. They get old fast and are more of a nusience than anything.
