M Rated Games – How much is too much?

If you know me, you probably know that I am an avid gamer. You also may know that I am very strict about which games I play. I believe that playing videogames is fine and that a certain amount of realism but there are too many video games out there that go way too far. I believe there is no need for blood in games. Nor is it right to have games so full of cussing and drugs. I agree that video games are a big contributer to school violence and school shootings. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

I want to know you honest opinion about violence in games. Tell me about it!

Yea, probably the most violent video game I’ve ever played was Mortal Kombat, but since I played the N64 I can’t remember playing a gmae that had blood. As I said, I just enjoy games like Mario, Spiderman, etc. I try not to get games with “strong lanquage” or intense violence.

You never had to worry about Mario cornering Luigi in a dark alley and gunning him down, or accidentally seeing a Yoshi fight (chicken fighting).

    There’s a funny thought.

Correct. I pretty much just play Pokemon, so there’s nothing bad in it. Even the Pokemon battling isn’t violent. When you defeat the enemy, it doesn’t have blood or nothing. Just walking around lookign for Pokemon.
