Well, at the Time of writing E3 is less than 12 hours away. Exited about all the new stuff going to be announced, I went to Gamespot’s E3 page and started browsing around for upcoming games that are gonna be talked about at E3. Here are some of the awesome games that are gonna be talked about at E3 (That I have not mentioned on this site before)
Mirrors Edge (PC, PS3, Xbox360)

By far, one of the most interesting things that is going to be talked about at E3 Mirrors Edge. This game takes place in a totalitarian society where the only way to pass along information safely is to hire a runner, a person who runs and jumps from rooftop to rooftop. When a runner, named Faith, finds out that her sister has been arrested for a crime that she did not commit, she vows to take down whoever is responsible. The story, sound pretty good so far. (After all, who doesn’t love a dystopian future where everyone has to conform to one standard?) The main thing is the gameplay, Faith does not focus on weapons; Instead, she uses her speed and agility resulting in some awesome looking hand to hand combat. The running over buildings seems awesome, the gameplay footage of it about gave me vertigo.
My main concern is the fact that this is a first person game. The moves Faith were pulling off look almost impossible to work in first person. The developers, however, simply say that this game will change the way you think about movement in first person games. A bold statement, but hopefully true.
This game looks like it has a lot of potential, but I am not sure yet…I hope it will be great.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 (PC, PS3, Xbox360)
p
The next installment in the insanely popular Command & Conquer series looks to be awesome. Now, I will admit, I have not played any of the CnC games before, but here is how I think the Red Alert series goes: (let me know if I’m wrong) Albert Einstein traveled back in time to assassinate Hitler in an attempt to stop world war 2 from ever happening. He destroyed Hitler, but instead of bringing peace, he creates an alternate timeline in which Stalin invades europe and it creates a more brutal WW2. Now, in this new game, the Soviets, who are losing the war, go back in time to prevent Einstein from assassinating Hitler which, restults in another timeline that involves a super power in the east called the rising sun.
There! Now that we are all confused, lets talk about the gameplay….Uh, I assume the gameplay is similar to the other red alert games. The cool thing about this game is its got super neat looking robotic weapontry and sillier weapons like the parachuting bear. (no; thats not the name…its a bear with a parachute) In addition, this installment is said to make a great emphasis on naval combat. (which sounds awesome)
This game looks like it is gonna have just the right mix of alternate timelines and randomness to fit my tastes. Plus, the graphics are beautiful. Can’t wait to find out more!
Lego Batman (DS, PC, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, Xbox360)

First it was Star Wars, then it was Indiana Jones, now it is Batman. There is not really much to say besides “Batman is awesome, Legos are awesome….so this should be fairly awesome” I hope this is as good as lego Star Wars without being too much like it (*cough*lego indiana jones*cough*) My only question is: what’s next? (my guess is Lego Lord of the Rings)
