EA Makes Games for Dummies

Ok, upon reading the title for this post, you are probably thinking, “so what, haven’t they always been making games for dummies?”

I just read on Gamespot that EA casual has just announced that they are making game adaptations of the popular “___ for dummies” books for the PC and DS.

The first game in the series, “Poker for Dummies”,  will not only teach players how to play various versions of poker, but will then let them play the game themselves.  It is already available for download on where you can play a free trial version of buy the full game for $19.95.  Next up in the series, “Solitaire for Dummies”, “Brain Train for Dummies” and “Sudoku for Dummies”  After that is “Travel Games for Dummies” for the DS.  Basically it is a collection of those games plus more.

One thing is for sure, these game certainly are for dummies.  Even the most causal of gamers know that windows comes with solitaire (and instructions on how to play) and the internet is littered with free Poker/Sudoku/Brain Train games and tutorials on how to play them.  Though, this will probably still sell well.

Way to go EA for taking money from unaware dummies once again!

Sometimes you want to go, where everybody knows your username...
