Star Wars Season 2 Trailer

It looks as though the next season is going to be great.  I can’t wait for it!…I just need to finish season 1 first…

Some Star Wars News

Well, I have recently found out some great Star Wars Related News.  While there was a lot of it going on at comic con, I don’t have it all yet.  However I will tell you what I know, and post more as I find out more.

Star Wars: In Concert:

Yes, this is what you think it is.  John Williams and an orcastra is going on tour to play Star Wars music live, with a giant screen playing clips of the show in the background.  …and yes, there is lazers too.  Star wars fan boys/girls rejoyce, cause we are gonna rock and roll all night to these wonderfully composed songs.  Plus, it seems as though they are also bringing star wars props for the fans to look at in a little museum of sorts.  Blows your mind does’snt it?

So, I checked the tour scheduel, and if you don’t live in the westernmost coast of the united states, then you are out of luck, because that is where all the stops are.  Hopwefully it will come out this way eventually.  (Heck, I might just take a road trip to california 😉 )

Star Wars in 3d:

I know this has been rumored for years, but I have heard on a few sites that it has been confirmed that George Lucas is going to re-release Star Wars in 3d.  When?  I don’t know.  But I am going.  Granted, I do not like the trend of 3d movies (not enough bang for your buck), but this will be worth it….oh, how it will be worth it.

…and thats pretty much all I know right now.  They also said more words about Clone Wars Season 2, The KOTOR MMOG, and a Force Unleashed DLC pack….but thats about it.

Star Wars Retold

Ok, I had just decided to go over the films submitted for the 2009 Star Wars fan film awards.  I decided to start with the George Lucas pick award winner, and it is one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time.  My throat and lungs are in pain right now from all the laughing I just did.  If you like star wars, then you need to see this.

I Think I’m A Clone Now!

clone sign

Ok, in my last post I showed you some Weird Al Videos, right?  Well, after listinging to “I think I’m a clone now” about 15 times in a row, I decided that I wanted a clone.  However the process of creating clones is a complex process.

So, I googled it.  And now I have my very own clone.  I have affectionetly named him “Clone James”

Clone James and I are best friends.  He has great taste in movies, and always tells the funniest jokes.  We always get along great, and we never fight!  It’s like he knows my every thought.  I don’t know why I did not think of this sooner!  Clones are awesome!

Later today I am going to challenge me to super smash brother’s brawl.  (I can’t ever seem to beat myself)

Well, I got to go.  I need to go help myself clean the kitchen.

Weird Al

Ok, I have been listining to a lot of weird al lately…I lot of weird al.  So I figured I woud post some of his songs on here.

I Think I’m a Clone Now – I song about what its like to be a clone, set to clips of clone troopers.  Yay!  (Origianally I think I’m Alone Now)

Lasagna – From when Weird Al had his own show.  (Originally La Bamba)

Hey Ricky – A song about Lucy and Ricky from I Love Lucy (Orignally Hey Micky)

The Timeline of Zelda

There are a lot of theories going around as to the chronological order of the Zelda games.  For a while I believed that each game is standalone, a different retelling of the same basic story.  However, I eventually decided that that cannot be true, as Wind Waker pretty much tells us that it takes place 100 years after Ocarina of Time.  This would mean that at least four of the games are directly connected.  (Ocarina, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker, then Phantom Hourglass)  So where do the other games fit in?  I had no clue.

Last night, I invited my cousin over to hang out and play some videogames.  As always, we wound up talking about Zelda.  He mentioned a theory where the timeline spits at Ocarina of Time, creating two parallel sets of events.  Well, this morning, I stumbled across a video explaining one possible interpretation of the split-timeline.  Now this video is from 2006, so its a little outdated, but it sparked an interest.  Here is the video in its entirety:

After watching it, I did a little research myself.  I read up on a few theroies at Zeldapedia.  (a list of timeline related articles can be found here)  And I eventually reached my own conclusion….there are some pretty crazy fanboys out there.  I mean they analyze every single detail of the game. Personally, what I have seen makes me think that the reason Nintendo has not given us an official timeline is because there is not one.  I think they make the games up as they go along, but provide throwbacks to the previous games as a wink to the fans.  (or as a way of tormenting these crazy timeline theorists)

Don’t get me wrong, I do not think they are standalone games, they do tie togather in some odd roundabout way.  It has even been confirmed by multiple people who work on the games that the Ocarina game splits the universes and that they are connected.  I just think there is no “right” answer and that the games were not made with the timeline in mind.

Nor do I think that it is wrong to come up with these crazy theories.  In fact, I quite enjoy reading fan theories.  I am not sure which theory I believe, but its fun to guess.

Who knows, eventually Nintendo may try to straighten out the games and create their own official timeline, which would be great.  But for now, I am just going to enjoy the fun of making up fan theroys and enjoy the games more.
