Monk Is Gone…But Hope For A Spin-Off

****SPOILER ALERT!!!!****

This post if full of spoilers…read at your own risk!!!

Well, I recently was able to see the last episode of monk.  (I am 8 days behind because I use Hulu) Its so sad that monk is over, but I think they ended the series on a good note.

While its great that Monk finally solved Trudy’s murder, I confess I expected it to be bigger.  She was a reporter and I thought she had stumbled across a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of our government or something.  But they did pick a more believable route then conspiracy…so I can’t exactly be upset.  I love how Monk was able to meet Trudy’s daughter and truly become happy again.  (well, as happy as monk can become that is)

When I found out that Trudy’s daughter was alive, my mother and I decided that Natalie was the daughter…while that would have been an interesting turn, its probably best that it was not what happened…would have been too convenient.

I love that Randy and Sharona wound up together.  I sense a spin-off in the works.  “Randy and Sharona” or “Disher” would be a great series…of course, Monk would have to make a guest appearance.  A quick Google search does not turn up much…but there is a facebook page for Police Chief Randall Disher…the beginnings of a online marketing campaign?  I hope so!
